I saw this gorgeous text graphic and thought I should use it to go with a post of my favourite fitness related things. (and brown paper packages tied up with strings)
1. Lululemon and nice gym gear generally. I want to workout the instant I walk past a lululemon store!
2. Fruit. I was never a big fruit person until I started cleaning up my diet, now I wonder what on earth was wrong with me for all those years.
3. New running shoes. There’s nothing like the extra bounce you feel when you get new runners!
4. Being a star in a group fitness class. When I was doing pump regularly, I’d always feel so proud if I had the heaviest weights on a particular track, or more than the instructors. Squat track, you’re my bitch!
5. Loose pants and tops. A tragic loss of beautiful clothes, but the best sign ever of a new body shape. The scales mean nothing when your old jeans don’t fit anymore.
6. Feeling alive. I power up the sets of stairs at work and feel nothing. Before I’d huff and puff and daydream of installing a lift. There’s nothing quite as good as feeling fit and healthy.
7. Having control. Learning to master binge eating took lots of work, but now I can keep myself in check (99.9% of the time), and it’s great being able to tell my belly who’s boss.
8. The rush you feel when you achieve the impossible. 6 months ago I could barely walk! Now I can run! When I did my first run for 10 minutes without stopping, I felt like I had won the lotto. It meant nothing to anyone else, but to me it was my finest achievement!
9. Being creative in the kitchen. Learning how to cook healthy has changed my life. I love being a domestic goddess.
10. Myself. I hated myself. Now I think I’m pretty good. ;)
